Description
This clock was created from a recycled aluminum bike wheel. The wheel mounts directly to the wall through the hub using a hollow wall anchor and gives the illusion that it is floating off the wall. The clock movement is a high torque quartz movement and is attached to a set of rear cassette gears to conceal the movement. The clock runs on 1 AA battery, included. This wheel measures roughly 25 inches in diameter. Since these clocks are made from actual recycled bike wheels there will be imperfections with signs of use and age, to include, scuffing, scratches, warping, oxidation, etc. All bike parts are thoroughly cleaned. Handmade in the USA. It will make a great conversation piece on your wall or a special gift for that bike nut you know who is so hard to shop for. Thanks for looking."

Re-purposing old stuff into cool new stuff is what my craft is all about.
Ever since I can remember, I have been taking things apart. Trying to figure out what makes them tick. One day I was tinkering around and created a clock from a old computer hard drive. I showed a few people and they were impressed so I kept tinkering! My life has not been the same since!!
What I love most about this work is that … it’s not work! I love what I do! I love that I am, not only able to be creative, but I am also helping the environment by recycling old junk that would likely end up in some land fill.
In 2007, I quit my “real job” to make my clocks full time. It has been a great adventure! I have met some incredible people who eagerly donate materials that they would typically throw in the trash and I have seen the inside of more dumpsters than I could have ever imagined! Every clock I make is an original with a history that we can only imagine.
