The feeling of anticipation leads to a satisfied elation when you secure your last board to the wall and step back... Mind blowing!! And it is all yours. These are much more than wall boards, these are art and those walls in your home are now a canvas. Lets paint!

It all starts with a barn a crow bar and a hammer. No machines are ever utilized and from start to finish this process is very labor intensive as we dismantle some of upstate New York's oldest and most well preserved barns by hand. Once the wood is harvested it is brought back to our workshop for processing. We de-nail, trim , remove any metal, inspect the wood for rot and bugs and test any paint for lead. Next the material is trimmed down, each individual board receiving 11 total cuts to achieve the desired size. All material is then kiln dried and prepared for packaging. What we end up with are reclaimed barn wood face boards individually measuring 3 inches wide by 5/16ths of an inch thick with random lengths up to 46 inches.

We have dismantled over 80 barns to date with more coming as we speak. These board offer an eclectic mix unmatched by any other product. I have touched every single board a few times, can tell you where they came from and can offer some history as the process of dismantling a barn starts with research as well as a conversation with the property owner.

Our packages contain 20 square feet of ready to install material. All you need is a level, brad nailer , tape measure, and a pencil.

Most of the boards in a 20 square foot package will be shades of light browns and dark browns. There is no solid ratio concerning these boards though we will work to keep it as even as possible. There will be a few shades of greys and whites included with the browns.  Colored boards will be selected on a random basis unless a custom order is requested. There will be one colored board per 20 square foot package. This color will be randomly selected and will be either red or blue. If you desire a specific color or have a vision in mind , please feel free to contact me. I will work with you to satisfy your needs. Also remember that you can add colors to the material by simply dabbing or streaking any color custom paint you want. If you have specific needs please state them clearly in a message before ordering other wise you will be sent a package of our choice. The product images were taken from a custom ordered wall of 300 square feet where the customer wanted extra colored boards. I cannot promise  anyone an exact match of these images though I will try my best to fulfill your needs

To determine how many square feet you will need for your project, just measure the length and height of your room or space and then multiply
15 feet long by 10 feet high = 150 square feet (example)
Remember to always add 10% for waste.

These wall boards are a self sustaining, eco friendly product with virtually zero carbon foot print. We use electricity to run our saws and that is it. No stains or harmful chemicals are ever utilized. This is a beautifully concious product filled with history and character.

I have been working with old growth reclaimed barn wood for 10 years now so I fully understand what I am about to explain. Due to the nature of reclaimed old growth barn wood there are going to occasionally be slight variations in our wall boards. Though we work hard to make every cut perfect there may be board or two that are slightly thicker or thinner than the others. This in no way affects the look of your finished product and can usually be adjusted by shimming out the board a bit.
Reclaimed barn wood is unique and filled with character variations such as nail holes, natural stains, weathering, patina, cracking, ax marks, saw marks, discoloration, loose knots ,dents, and scratches. The material you receive may have some or all of these characteristics. When you place an order you agree to these stated variations and our policies.
Wood is a dynamic substance. It will change daily with temperatures as well as seasonal changes. We advise that you let the product acclimate in its final enviornment for 48 hours before installation.
Thank You, have a wonderful day
