Mother in a Pink Japanese Kimono painting- Recycled repurposed beach wood

Description
An OOAK painting of a Mother with her baby in reclaimed wood from the sea in which I love to draw. I sincerely hope that my artifact communicates the feeling of affection I had on creating it

This small piece of wood was treated specially, left to dry for days and then a layer of gesso was added. For the painting I used as few egg tempera colors as possible (Black for her hair, pink for her robe ****Somehow I had this icon of a Pink Japanese Kinono when drawing the mother's dress****). I ve also added copper gold all over the little piece of wood as a background. Finally the icon was varnished on the top, with shellac and resin varnish to last.

<3 Gift Wrapping: The OOAK miniature is complemented with an organza bag/ tulle sachet (decorated with a handmade crocheted ornament) perfect for gift wrapping"
