Leather Wallets – Made from recycled leather upholstery swatches
This was a very interesting project, a new recycle shop open near my workshop called Scrap B-more. Their webpage says “SCRAP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission is to inspire creative reuse and environmentally sustainable behavior by providing educational programs and affordable materials to the community.”
So with is as a challenge, we reused some leather upholstery swatches which were donated by Shofers Furniture a local shop. They were destined for the trash but now have a new life as wallets. I kept the brass grommet on the front and embossed text on the back.
